Set the pack from product outward

A folded insert is useful only when the product, loading direction and removal path have been defined. Review carton style, closure, insert cavity and outer packing together rather than treating the insert as a decorative add-on.

Product length, width, height, weight, orientation and fragile points
Finished internal or external size definition, carton style, closure and dieline status
Board grade, grammage, caliper direction, grain direction and print-surface requirements
Artwork, colour reference, proof expectation and exact finish location by panel
Insert cavity geometry, loading/removal direction, desired fit and packing method
Sample type, acceptance checks, target market and any test programme that needs review

Board, print and finish

Keep comparable quote inputs separate

Board grade, grammage and caliper should be reviewed as separate inputs. Coated paper or white cardboard may be a useful starting direction, but final board, finish and fold behaviour depend on the confirmed carton structure and project brief.

CMYK, spot-colour direction, matte or glossy lamination, foil, spot UV, embossing and die cutting can be reviewed where appropriate. The exact panel, fold-line risk, artwork and production feasibility require project confirmation before sampling.
