A book-style box has a hinged lid and a magnetic flap. The lid stays attached, which suits a set the buyer opens and closes more than once. It uses more board than a separate lid, and it does not ship flat. The dedicated reference is the book-style magnetic gift box.
Magnets can sit in a separate lid and base. The opening is still a lift, with a snap at the end of the lift. It is a simpler silhouette than a book hinge. Use it when you want the closure feel without a spine. Compare it with custom rigid boxes that have no magnets at all.

The magnets sit between the greyboard and the wrap. They do not show as a clasp on the outside. Placement and the weight of the lid decide the snap. A light lid with magnets too far apart feels weak. A heavy lid with magnets too strong can be hard to open.

The core is rigid greyboard, described on rigid greyboard. Wrap options include printed paper, specialty paper and black specialty paper. The wrap is the surface the buyer touches and the surface the print sits on.
Hot foil stamps a metallic mark and needs clear space in the artwork. Emboss and deboss change the sheet so a logo can be felt. Soft-touch lamination dulls glare. Spot UV leaves a gloss patch on a matte field. No board thickness is published here. The quote names the board once the size and the product weight are known.

Inserts can be paperboard, paper pulp, foam, or a fabric or velvet lining. The lining changes the hand-feel inside the box and it changes the quote. A soft lining can mark a glossy cap if the cavity is too tight. A paperboard tray is specified when the product only needs a simple cavity and a clear removal path.

Magnetic boxes usually cost more because they add magnets and extra assembly steps. They are a weak fit when the budget is tight or the product is opened once and discarded. After you approve the sample and the artwork, bulk production typically takes 12–25 working days. Export packing and the commercial invoice and packing list come after that. Every timing is confirmed in the quote and none is guaranteed.
What you get back at each step is written down: questions on the brief, a structure note, the quote, the sample, then the export documents. If the closure feels wrong on the sample, the magnet placement is adjusted before bulk production. Do not approve a photo in place of the sample when the snap is the reason you chose this box.
