Rigid Greyboard
The structural core of luxury rigid boxes
Rigid greyboard is a high-density chipboard manufactured from 100% post-consumer recycled fibre, compressed under heat into sheets ranging from 1.0 mm to 3.0 mm. It is the structural core of every luxury gift, jewellery, and electronics box you've ever opened — invisible behind a wrap of art paper, specialty stock, or fabric. Greyboard delivers exceptional dimensional stability, an audible 'thud' when closed, and the perceived weight that customers associate with premium products. At MUGE we wrap greyboard cores with C2S art paper, black or coloured specialty paper, leather-touch PU, or velvet flocking, then add EVA inserts for product cradling.
