MUGE PACKAGING design-direction concept. It is not a customer project, factory photograph or production sample; dimensions, materials, lid fit and performance require project review and sampling.
Cylindrical secondary packaging
Custom Paper Canister With Telescoping Paper Lid
This format uses a cylindrical paper body and a separate paper lid that overlaps the upper body or shoulder. It gives sourcing teams one precise route for reviewing product diameter, canister height, lid depth, opening clearance, wall construction, wrap artwork and packing before sampling.
- Format
- Paper canister with overlapping telescoping lid
- Fit
- Diameter, lid depth and opening feel confirmed by sample
- Material
- Tube wall, wrap paper and base construction under review
- Decoration
- Wrap artwork, seam and finish locations under review

Define the packed product before the lid
A lid image does not establish fit. Start with the finished product, intended orientation and usable internal space. Then define lid overlap, opening feel, contact points and packing method. Barrier, food-contact or protective performance is never implied by this concept and needs project-specific material and test review.
- Measure the finished product at its widest diameter and full packed height
- State whether dimensions are internal or external and define required top and side clearance
- Define body wall direction, rolled rim, base construction and any liner or insert request
- Specify lid depth, shoulder overlap, opening direction and acceptable closing feel
- Mark wrap artwork, seam position, colour references and every finish location
- State quantity direction, destination, inner/master packing and measurable sample checks

Use this page for one exact structure
This page covers a paper canister with a telescoping paper lid. For broad paper cans, composite cans, other cap styles and supplier comparison, use the paper tubes and paper cans category. The two pages answer different buyer questions.
Use the paired telescoping-lid paper canister RFQ guide for the field-by-field brief. Send dimensions, product weight, lid preference, artwork status, finish references, quantity direction and destination for review.
Technical review responsibility: Andy, Chief Designer & Project Manager. Specification discussions may reference the ISO/TC 130 print-production standards guide and the ISTA test-procedure directory. They are review frameworks, not certification or test evidence for this concept.
