Velvet Flocking
Soft tactile interior for jewellery & luxury cradles
Velvet flocking is an electrostatic finishing technique where short fibres of nylon or rayon are propelled onto an adhesive-coated surface, standing on end to create a dense, soft-touch velvet pile. In packaging it transforms the inside of rigid boxes, EVA inserts, and jewellery cradles into a tactile experience that immediately signals 'precious'. Available in 30+ colours (classic black, royal blue, cream, deep burgundy), velvet flocking is used by jewellery, watch, fragrance, and high-end electronics brands to cradle products with both visual and physical luxury. We CNC-cut EVA foam to product silhouette, then flock the entire insert in a single colour for a museum-display finish.

Section 08 · FAQ
Frequently asked
Can you match my brand Pantone for the velvet colour?+
Yes — custom Pantone-matched flocking is available with a small setup fee. Lead time +3–5 days vs. standard colours.
How do you cut the velvet to product shape?+
We CNC-cut the EVA foam base to your product silhouette, then flock the entire insert. The end result is a perfect cradle with no exposed foam.
Will the velvet shed?+
No — the electrostatic process bonds fibres vertically into the adhesive, then heat-cures. Properly flocked interiors don't shed under normal handling.
