Partition RFQ
Specify the components before the cells
A partition drawing cannot establish fit by itself. Start from the packed containers, caps, pumps and labels, then define the cell order, contact points, clearance and removal path. Any protection or performance requirement must be separately reviewed and tested.
- Measure every jar, tube, bottle or pump at its widest and tallest packed point
- Map the component order, cell length and width, divider height and partition depth
- Define loading direction, finger access, removal clearance and acceptable movement
- Confirm carton internal dimensions, closure, board grade, caliper and grain direction
- Mark artwork, colour references and every foil, UV, emboss or lamination panel
- State packing orientation, quantity direction, destination and sample acceptance checks

Keep fit, board and decoration as separate decisions
Ask suppliers to identify the assumed carton style, board grade, grammage, caliper, partition construction and delivery form. For print and finishing, locate each requirement on the dieline rather than naming a finish without a panel.
Use the paired cosmetic partition-insert RFQ guide for the field-by-field brief. Compare broader formats on the cosmetic packaging page or review the cosmetics industry route.
