Clear PET Lock-Bottom Display Box RFQ Guide

A useful clear display-box RFQ defines the product being packed, how it will face on display, which panels need artwork and what the sample must answer. “Clear PET box” alone does not specify a final structure or performance level.

Start with the finished product envelope

Record the largest length, width and height, product weight and any features that affect loading. State whether the pack must stand upright, hang, stack or simply present a front panel. Ask for proposed usable internal space instead of assuming a universal clearance.

Describe the fold and closure decision

Identify the intended top closure and the lock-bottom direction to review. Request a proposed layout that makes fold lines, glue areas and visible panels clear. A concept image can help explain a question, but it is not a measured dieline or proof of assembly.

Keep material and documentation questions open

Record the proposed clear material and destination market rather than treating transparency as a material specification. PET, PVC and PP options need project-specific review against the display goal, fold behavior and print coverage. Confirm the final material and any required documentation only after the product, market and proposed construction are reviewed.

Separate display review from packing performance

State the outer-carton packing route and the shipment question separately. Do not treat a lock-bottom illustration as evidence of load capacity, transit protection or retail suitability. Agree what a sample should show before a production decision.

Make the sample decision specific

Separate three questions in the sample request: can the packing operator engage the proposed bottom without forcing the folds; can the product be loaded and removed without the requested insert obstructing it; and do the clear panels leave the required label readable? Record observed results against your own acceptance criteria. If carrying weight or shipping protection matters, agree a separate test method and requirement before selecting the construction.
