Kering's 2026 Vision: 100% Recyclable and the Role of Mono-Materials

How Kering's 2026 sustainability targets are reshaping the luxury jewelry and watch packaging landscape.

Aligning with the Giants

Kering Group (Gucci, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga) has set an ambitious target for 2026: 100% of its packaging must be recyclable, reusable, or compostable. This shift is driving a radical redesign of the luxury jewelry and watch box.

The Mono-Material Mandate

To reach 'true' recyclability, multi-material constructions (plastic inserts, metal hinges, mixed fibers) are being phased out. The 2026 standard is Mono-Material Prestige. Muge is supporting Kering's vision by engineering pure-fiber hinges and structural inserts that provide the same 'Rigid Click' as traditional materials but can be tossed directly into the paper stream.

Circular by Design

Sustainability at Kering is about more than just the material; it's about the entire lifecycle. Our collapsible designs reduce the carbon footprint of transport by 85%, hitting the Group's Scope 3 emission targets early.
